I was thinking about disconnecting my center. I don't like it for most of my stereo recordings and there is no way to turn it down by itself. The Fader sucks on the touch screen navi with the Sony10. They should have broke it down where you could adjust levels for front , rear , center, and sub seperate. The only thing I'm worried about is will the navi voice still come through loud and clear. I will be picking out various components soon I'm sure. I'm not entirely happy with the way it sounds for "premium" sound. But that's the fun in upgrading the ride!

I disconnected the center and sync sounds just fine. Its a noticeable (better) spatial soundscape for music with the center not on. Popped the grill off with my fingers, took 2 mins.

Great thread....I got my car last Saturday and I kept telling myself I would not get started with the audio....well that lasted almost 24hrs.
I have an extra JL HD750 and a set of Focal comps, Im getting to old or lazy for this........ i |

I'm sure someone will have a custom sub box that will fit that factory location I think a JL 10W6v2 would be a great if not too deep!

Hello I have one question? what is the black box located in the front of the door above the mid driver? Thanks so much i also am going to be installing new speakers in my car.

Tony, I need your help do you know if the crossover is in cars that have the six speaker systems. I do not have the sony 10 speaker sys. also that sure is a lot of wires going in and coming out of that to be crossover, should be six total per door if there are too speakers per door i would think. Thanks Tony

It's come to my attention that I didn't include any pictures of how I ran my speaker wire into the doors (or if I did, I can't find them in this thread).
I ran the wire out of this plug and into the top of the rubber boot near the molex connector, and then into the door cavity. Piece of cake. Sorry I didn't respond to you, 2012Ti. I don't have an answer to your question. If I haven't said it already, I no longer have the Focus so I'm not really on the forum much any more. If there's questions, I may or may not be able to answer them. I'll try though. Tony
