Guess I'll put up the updated pics. Originally, I had 50% fronts and 12% all the rest. Now I have 12% all around (including windshield strip) and like it better. Nice and dark!

In the last pic, that's my grandfather's Focus in front of mine lol he told me for years to get one and so to spite me bought one himself. Now he can't stand it. Then I bought a 2012 and he's thinking of upgrading now

I'd like to tint my new FF too! I am a newbie about window tinting though. Can any1 tell me the difference between ceramic and metallic tinting? Regarding brand names, which would you recommend? Price points?

Tnx.

The shop I use has switched to ceramic with the new cars so it won't interfere with any electronics. The brand they use is Formula. They have tinted several of our cars with great luck and not the first problem. Unless they have changed, this film has a lifetime warranty. Seems like the price was around $300 or so for a Hatchback.

My tint is a carbon film with a lifetime warranty but I can't remember the brand. As long as you avoid anything that is a "dyed plastic" you wilk be fine. The dyed stuff will last about 3 years and then fade and turn purple.

I had all windows (no windshield strip) in my hatch done with 35% SunTek Performance Series for $179.00 last July. Lifetime Warranty at Precision Tint in OP.

I just looked it up and it's a metalized film comparable to Llumar ATR. I have had zero problems with my Motorola Atrix phone and two different Garmin GPSs.

Okay, worse case senerio - Driving with tinted windows, raining - in a dark alley, windows tinted @ 25% - car pulls out in front of you and you smash into it - question ::
will your insurance cover, or can they claim 'tint' too dark ~~???

I'm pretty sure if you're tint is legal then you are fine. If it is not legal... then idk

Sounds liked they can deny coverage...
