Question, when I do get the car I want to tint it all the way around. ill follow VA law. however can someone explain the different tints and what you recommend? I am little worried about it getting put on. I want to make sure its done right and will not bubble or peal or anything.

I have had 30% all the way around since last June and have never had a problem, so you could go darker if you wanted too.

I've posted these already, but not in here. So here's my YB Mk3 with 15% llumar all around including the front strip.

Do you have to roll down the windows and stick your neck out the window at night in order to see when backing up with 15% tint?

15% is pretty darn dark at night, but at that point it's usually a matter of looks over function. Unless you're unlucky enough to deal with 100 degree plus weather, then I wouldn't blame you for any amount of tint!

I got 35% all around on mine. I just wanted some UV protection and to be able to see out of the windows.

Well it sounds like trim isn't the only thing that determines the grille shutters. I ordered almost the identical car to yours Tony, although I don't have the moonroof or parking sensors on my bumpers, yet I DO have the shutters. The other hunch that a few of us have had about these shutters is that region matters, and it seems like its true. It may be that all PZEV cars get the shutters, or that and some combination of trim level.

Loving the tint pictures. Hope to get mine done in the next month or so.

Anybody know anything about Huper Optik Ceramic window film? A couple of the better local tint shops are using it for their ceramic tint. They have non-ceramic Llumar film available, but I really wanted to go ceramic this time around. The Huper Optik is computer cut like the higher end Llumar film. I'm sure its probably good stuff, I just don't know anyone who has used it.
