Did you do them yourself or get them done? Custom work, I'm guessing?

I'd like to tint the taillights a bit but not sure how much. I'd probably get the entire thing tinted (instead of just the brake portion)

I did them myself with night shade. The removal was a breeze and then just taped off the reverse/turn section.

Did you apply a clear coat afterwards? I've seen a few cars with painted vs. tinted tails and they all seem to fade a bit after a while...

I think I prefer the gloss tinted vs. matte painted look.

I only used 1 can and there seems to be plenty left. Application was pretty forgiving and didn't take much effort to get it even. I did three coats and you can still see the lights when the headlights are on or the brakes are applied.

I didn't use clearcoat because it didnt seem to have much of a matte look. I'll check again when I wash my car.

You are all so lucky!! Here in NJ it's illegal to get the front 2 windows tinted at all!!! I want my car tinted so bad, but I don't wanna do just the back windows.. I want front & back done. I really dont wanna chance it.

i live in NJ, and I will be doing front and back. They'll only really give you a ticket for them if you get pulled over for something else. Most of my friends have their cars tinted and really dont have any problems.

What percentage will you be tinting? I never had tint on a car before so this is new for me.. I am afraid to get pulled over for the front, eventhough everywhere I drive, I see cars with front tint allll the time!!

I love my car.. sterling grey titanium w/ 17" machined painted rims, it really looks sharp.. I reallyyy think tint will be the cherry on top!

Tint values vary by state law. Since you are in NJ here is what applies to you http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/NJ/

I may go dark since I have a white car. Probably 15% range, nothing darker then that though. I gotta check it out and see how 35% looks. Anything lighter than 35% is not worth it though, imho. Since you have a dark car you can probably pull a 35% tint and look nice. My friend has 35% on his Black BMW and it looks really nice. On a lighter color car I'd get darker tint.

Well, you can't get any kind of tint on the front windows in NJ.
