I just got back from the dealer for the transmission issue. They reflashed it to the newest TSB update. My advisor told me it might still shake but give it time to see if the transmission will relearn from your driving style.
Right away once I drove off the dealer it was stuttering from start to go in 1st gear. I don't think any TSB updates from Ford will resolve the transmission issues. It's more of a mechanical problem than anything else. |

No Fix (Ford doesn't Care)
Our 2012 Focus has been at the dealership, for trim issues, radio issues, transmission issues, watre leak issues. And now there is a problem with the sync. I have spoken with the sync help line, I am finding out no one really knows how this system is designed to work. The dealerships have no idea whatsoever. Too much tech. for the mechs. and not enought training on actual vehicles. They practice what they learn in a video class on our vehicles. Trial and error. We love the platform of the vehicle, just way too many problems that should have been fixed.

I have almost 12,000 miles on my 2012 and I am getting a bad shake at expressway speeds when on the gas, feels like the wheels are out of balance, but as soon as I get off the gas it goes away. When there is more than one person in car with the more weight, it is even worst. I am afraid to even know what is wrong, but I am sure it is not good. I hate the low speed driving with this trans, you have to really get on it so it will shit down and go.

Swinging by your dealership is a great first step. Additionally, I'm happy to jump in and see how I can assist. Send me a PM with your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name; I'll take it from there. Crystal

Lemon Law
I did hire an attorney and I filed under my states lemon law act. I have had my transmission rebuilt twice in one year. At 25000 miles my rear main started leaking. They opened it up there was fluid all over the place which is why they said the cluches were slipping. 600 miles after the rebuild, I had a grinding sound whenever the car was under torque. They opened it up, bad clutches. They said it must of been a bad batch of parts. So they ordered parts from a different batch and rebuilt it a second time. Now when I leave from a dead stop on a hill, it slams into gear like a 2000 rpm neutral drop. I have built everything from custom rock rigs to 11 sec fox bodies. I know when there is a mechanical failure. This tranny is crap. I have driven Fords since 1985. Ford has pemanently lost my buisness.
