Especially with electronics nowadays, but in the tech industry I've read up waaaaay too much on the subject... never mind experiencing it...

* The other tiny problem is, nobody even tries for ideal or anything close to it. Good enough is good enough, and whatever costs the least while showing the highest perceived effort is the new norm...

I feel the need to guide the guys at the Dealer (i work at FORD, but i'm a Paint engineer) ...wanted to ask some buddies inside the company, but still no response.
What is that APIM thing you guyes mention? Is that a spare part to replace... or a coding issue?

The best way to explain the APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module) is to think of it as the computer/brain of the SYNC system. I'd like to look into the concerns you're experiencing. Please PM me your VIN and the name of the dealership you've been working with.

Well...I tried the Battery unppluging along with the fuses...and got nothig, except for the loss of the windows programing (they dont go up automatically)...

No choice but to leave the car at the dealer ...whenever i have a chance :(

Coming back to feed the topic again.
Well...i finally took the car to the dealer and they fixed the issue (Black Screen of Death). I couldnt ask what the fix consisted of, but i received my car with the latest version of MFT.
Anyway...it ran OK until few days ago (and i say OK, because, even when the appareance is simpler and seems to run quicker...it has issues playing my iPhone music, not detecting the phone).
After 2 weeks of the repair...the screen Died again! Am i pissed? Very!
Could leave it today at the second visit to the dealer (the Guy was like: "Really?! O_o, when i told him the screen died again) because they had lots of work...but im coming back tomorrow.

Is it normal for the screen to die twice? I mean...come on!!! ¬_¬

Which dealership are you working with, Ryu Spiller? My records indicate your vehicle is equipped with software version 2.10. I'd like to see if that's correct. In order for me to determine, I'll need your CCPU software version number. To obtain this, select the menu button and go through the following:

HELP > SYSTEM INFORMATION > CCPU S/W VERSION.

2.10 = 11081
2.11 = 11134
3.0.2 = 12023
3.2.2 = 12156
