Just wanted to let you know that this is NOT exclusive to just Kenwood. The module that incorporates the syc functions is made by a company called "Automotive Data Solutions" not Kenwood and the unit itself is called the "iDatalink - Maestro", it will work will all sorts of manufactures such as Alpine, Clarion, Sony etc...

Here is the direct link to the Ford Focus 2012 module...

So for best head unit the best option is MFT? or movewell.. alot of cheap asian rubbish seems to be the case...why does nobody want an aftermarket alpine pioneer or jvc?? coz of sync?

Being that your from James' neck of the woods, "down under", the movewell system may work great for you. Although, it wouldn't even turn on for me.

That unit appears to be basically the exact same thing as the other Chinese units. So buy with caution.

I didn't want to go with the metra kit (allowing pioneer, alpine etc.) because I thought it looked bad. It looks way too far from oem in my opinion, and not in a good way.

i agree, the rubber buttons do not look good in any way. $300 for a mount kit and harness that supports sync is too much for my tastes.

im looking for something aftermarket, is there a list price for an oem MFT from the aftermarket?

yeah unfortunately for me an unida its annoying with the cost of shipping + usability of sat nav from our side... he did show me a kit ages ago which was round the 600$ mark.. But thats alot for a facial kit i reckon...

Jbuntin,
All I can say is wow. That it awesome! Is your whole car dyno matted? I just have 2 12"s and one amp. And I am chasing rattles. I can't imagine how the car handles that^. I love those door enclosures! Are you going to make more or selling the ones you have?

I have a couple rattles that I've had to quiet. Other than that all had been well. I would like to sell the whole system. I have the dash kit and sync interface as well. I am selling the door panels with the speaker enclosures or I would do a partial trade for standard panels. The enclosure bolts to the door it's solid as a rock and that way It doesn't rattle. It allows use of a 6 1/2 and 8" speaker in each door.
