SVT Focus 02 shifter cable change

My shifter cable from the transmission tower seems to keep coming off. I do not see any other place where they sell just the bushing end and I do not see any tutorials or any place where to do it yourself.
Does anyone know how or where to go to do this? I just purchased the whole assembly from Ford and do not see a place where to connect and disconnect just the bushing, anyone have any idea how to do this? A step by step tutorial with pics if available would be great, if not any info would be help, the Haynes manual does not show this process that I purchased.
Thanks for those how can assist me with this issue.

I had a simiar issue on my Contour, it was because the bushing in the center of the cable was worn out. I made my own bushing from a chunk of urathane and used a zip tip on the end of the shift tower to keep everything together, much easier and cheaper than putting new cables on.

Has been that way for over a year and I haven't had a single issue with it yet.

Thanks for that info. Unfortunately, I already purchased the whole assembly, and I do realize it is more a pain to do it in the contour than on the focus, meaning that it will be easier on the focus, I have been reading on the Haynes manual and it does not seem that hard, just time consuming and a PITA in some parts of the process, having said that, I will take pics and more than likely make a tutorial since no one else seems to have done this and will help for future references.
Any more info is always welcome.

Okay, so I have stripped the car down from inside and underneath it. I got to the point where the shifter cable is unbolt from the inside, problem is the shifter cables will not go out from inside the car or underneath it. Any suggestions? does it come from the inside of the car or underneath, booklet states underneath the car but I do not see how, Looks like more from the inside of the car.
Any help works here guys,
Thanks.
