Remote start and push button start

Forgive me. Never had the luxury of a remote start. I was basing my comment off of what I was reading here. In FL however I can't justify spending the money on it... it doesn't get cold enough for long enough and when it's too hot and even a sunshade doesn't help, I just open the windows and blast the air. No need to remote start for me.

No problem. In the grand scheme of things I guess it's not really that big of a deal anyways. I have a lot to be thankful for.

Starting to adjust to the way it works. The engine restart isn't making me as mad. Getting in a semi- cooled car on 105 degree days is better than nothing.

Pickup my Focus Ti last night only had a few hours to play with it.
but mine works just like you say above, BUT.............. dealer has a module on order to fix it cause that is not the way its supposed to work..

I will play tonight and check out all combinations..

I've had a remote start on order for 30 days now, dealer says they are waiting for a code from Ford. Not the best dealership I've been to, I am hoping they know what they are doing.

Sorry it's been awhile since I was last here. The name of my dealer is Duval Ford in Jacksonville, Fl. As I understand it they had to disable the door ajar interlock signal for the remote start system. The doors stay locked now and it does not shut down when I hit the key fob to unlock the door/s. If I hit the brake before turning to the II position the engine will quit. I am still having issues with having to hit the unlock button on the key to open the passenger doors. The first press unlocks the drivers door and the second press opens the passenger doors but as I approach the car there are a lot of times the second press doen't open them so you have to repeat the two presses. There is a thread here about a procedure to make all doors unlock with one press but I haven't tried that yet.
