2006 Ford Focus [Check Engine Light]

So today I noticed the check engine light on in my 2006 Ford Focus ZX4 2.0L. I borrowed a CanOBD2 tool to check out the codes, because my local dealership wanted to charge over $100 just for diagnosing the check engine light....

It's showing a P2004 Error code having to do with the Intake Manifold Runner Control on bank 1. I'm not very mechanically inclined...actually more computer inclined to be honest.

How can I go about fixing this? And is it a huge problem, am I able to drive ok with this code?

I'm not too mechanically inclined either, but since you haven't gotten an answer yet I decided to research it. From what I've found it is most likely safe to drive. I'm pretty sure that it is a valve inside the throttle body. I have not found any solutions to the problem other than getting a new valve if you can pin point it, or a whole new throttle body. Hope it helps, I recommend double checking my answers since I only found them on the internet myself.

Here's a related post....... His issue turned out to be a vacuum hose leak.
