2012 Auto Lights - Wiper Activation???

Can someone with a 2012 with automatic lights see if their lights will come on when the wipers are turned on? The manual says they do, but the car does not. It's rather annoying...trying to see if it's an issue with my car or if none of them do it...no sense bothering the dealer and wasting both of our time trying to figure it out if it's an issue across the board. In that case I'll hang tight until there's a fix available (hopefully...).

It's selectable on one of the menus between tach & speedo on my SEL with MFT. Look there to see if it's turned on or off on yours.

Ah good catch. Yea, seems like mine wasn't doing this either.

Could it be an included feature only if you have auto lamps and auto wipers? In other words, only available for SEL and Titanium.

I know it doesn't say this in the manual, but just guessing. It does say there is a delay, as well.

2012 with automatic lights see if their lights will come on when the wipers are turned on?

Is this feature available only when the rain sensing wipers are offered?
This is my understanding, and I am not sure but rain sensing feature is not
available on SE trim yes/no?

I have an SEL without rain sensing wipers but has automatic lights - the lights come on when the wipers are turned on. Does not come on for a single wipe.

Cool.

Such a simple feature to have, yet this will be my first car that actually does this....go figure!

There's a option called "Rain Lighting" in your odometer screen. I believe if that's checked, your lights will come on when your wipers do. This is for my titanium at least.

I have the rain sensing wipers and although it was not dark enough to active the automatic headlamps, there is a setting that turns the headlamps on whenever the wipers are activated.

When I had the wipers in the automatic, rain sensing position I noticed the headlamps were not on. The wipers were wiping consistantly, almost no delay at all, and the rain sensor was working adjusting the speed and delay of the wipers. The headlamp switch was in the autolamp position. When I moved the wiper switch to constant low or high, the headlamps turned on. I confirmed the "rainlamp" setting was activated in the message center.

Can someone confirm operation on their Titanium with rain sensing wipers?

Wiper Activated Headlamps
If equipped with automatic headlamps, the BCM illuminates the exterior lamps within 10 seconds of the windshield wipers being activated by the wiper/washer switch when the headlamp control switch is in the AUTOLAMP position. The BCM continues to illuminate the exterior lamps for approximately 30 seconds after the windshield wipers have been turned off.

If equipped with rain sensitive wipers (feature must be enabled through the message center) and the wiper/washer switch is in one of the 5 auto/intermittent settings, the BCM illuminates the exterior lamps within 30 seconds of the windshield wipers being activated by moisture detected on the windshield when the headlamp control switch is in the AUTOLAMP position. The BCM continues to illuminate the exterior lamps for approximately 60 seconds after the windshield wipers have been deactivated (moisture no longer detected on the windshield).
