2012 Focus Fuse Box Access

The manual says "The fuse panel is located on the right side below the glove box."

So how do I access it from there? it seems like I would have to take off paneling, but it's not straight forward. I don't want to take off a panel that's not meant to be removed. There's nothing labeled "Fuses" like I have done on older cars growing up.

A screenshot or two would be greatly appreciated.

This is to reseat the fuse due to MFT display not powering on (black screen).

That is one of the panels. The one for radio, etc is under the glove box. Someone provided me with the info just now...

"The fuse box is accessed on the under side of the glove box. One each side of the light you will see to round connectors. Squeeze those and they will pull off of the connector gently (when they are removed you will see the nylon connector similar to what is used to hold a door panel on). Once you have each of the plastic "nuts" off the cardboard panel (which is entire piece directly under the glove box) will be removable and the fuse panel is located on the fire-wall. :

I'm stoked about getting this car. But I must say...resetting fuses and even battery pulls less than a week into ownership is something I'm not looking forward to. I'm sure Ford knows this is going down, but I don't think most people are as understanding and/or knowledgeable as us fanatics are.

I hope this gets sorted soon so there isn't a nasty backlash.

You still listen to records?!?!

Ya, I understand your point. I just wouldn't want to miss out on a fully functional and solid MFT later down the road. I don't mind putting up with a few initial bugs...as long as Ford is aware and they're working on a fix.

I was lost too

When I read the book and it told me where to look, I was confused too. Good old Ford... short on wording and pictures. lol I finally found it, but I discovered that it's not the old school fuses... these are tiny! Anyone know what kind to buy? And I have to say I am disappointed they didn't throw in some extras!

Oh and anyone else notice that their dome light doesn't come on sometimes when they unlock the car and open the door? Mine has been bad about that recently... sometimes it does it, and sometimes it won't.

Then one last thing... anyone else notice the car jerking on acceleration? Again, it doesn't do it all of the time, but it does frequently... also sometimes there's a clunking noise too. Is it the new sideways engine or what?

There is a fuse puller in the lid of the engine fusebox.
