I think it's really cheesy and ugly personally... would never get two tone seating for anything them charging you extra for that is pretty funny lol

Posted via FF Mobile Sorry to hear about all your misfortunes. Whats happening here is that certain colors have these special flakes in them...like tuxedo black. The factory where these are made was like 20 miles away from the center of the quake. So whatever color had these flakes in it are gonna have issues. Obviously black will run out first because its popular and used on tons of models. Then comes that candy red, and kona blue. The candy blue or whatever it is is effected also, but its alittle less popular. Ive seen it in person though and its damn nice. Its like sonic blue but lighter, where it changes color depending on the lighting.

Just checked with my local dealership and this one (dealer stock) was just built and is enroute to Pensacola if you want to spend a day at the beach it might be worth the ride.

I believe the one above was built May 9th so I'm assuming anyone with a build date before that has to be good. Did you have a VIN and build date?

No, I never received a VIN. The order was never picked up.

I'll admit, I've never ordered a factory car before, and the allocation / regional stuff is baffling. It's frustrating to see people in the VIN thread who ordered after me get build dates and cars, only because of other mysterious factors.

Honestly, IDK how much mystery there is, but usually the lack of info regarding VIN, and build date can be traced to a bad/overworked/untrained salesperson. I've read about people placing orders and the order's weren't submitted in a timely manner, or the order gets placed, but the salesperson completely ignores the customer afterwards. Both of those scenarios are unacceptable.

I only factory order vehicles now, and it's nice to get exactly what you want w/o anyone else ever test driving it. Plus, as long as the wait can be sometimes, it can actually be kind of fun tracking it's progress until it gets to you.
