Anyone else love how they provide a little alcove for the manual?...maybe I'm just weird, but I think it's pretty sweet.

Every time I hear the world alcove, I think of In Bruges.

I actually have one of these in the slot for the manual

Fits perfect in that slot. And I have the securing cable looped around the back of the glove box where there is a opening. Since our glove boxes do not lock, this gives me a way to lock up my gun if I need to, like if I bring the car to a car wash, or in for service....or valet park it.

It doesn't close that tightly. As long as you're not using a monster cable or equivalent.

I had a base SE rental and it didn't hurt my cable at all. It was just a $10 Walmart (Belkin) cable though.

I just haven't tried it yet.
Same here, I discovered the slots by chance today and thought "Brilliant"! I was always bothered with a toll card and express pass card so these slots are perfect! Wow indeed.

I put a folded map under the manual pouch and now it stays in the glovebox alcove despite my "spirited" cornering.

Who knew those two slots were for cards! Now I can put my favorite Pokemon cards next to me at all times!...... But this is actually a pretty sweet little known feature. I keep my sheetz card in there
