2003 service manuals n fuse locations

After seeing the light last year and buying a 2003 Mustang, I bought my 1st Ford Focus this week. It's a 2003 SE and the fuse box cover is missing and I am wondering if anyone has a fuse box layout my cigarette lighter isn't working and I like to recharge my Iphone.

Also I have not been able to find good manuals for my Fords. The chilton and other auto parts places seem to have some important errors. Like how much tranny fluid to put in the transmission, even spark plug removal (since the mustang has COP and thats not even addressed in the 2003 manual.

Anybody have a suggestion on good manuals and also a location for my cigarette lighter fuse number?

Thanks for any input and hi from a new Focus owner!

ok found a thread on here to the ford.com owners manual and have a layout of the fuses. Fixed the lighter fuse. One problem down.
Next does anyone have a good service manual?

Search Ebay for Helm Manuals. You don't want to purchase it from them because they are so expensive.

As far as owner's manuals, you need one. That has the fuse locations in it. Ford doesn't put fuse descriptions on the back of the panel because that prevents you from pulling something like a fuse for the horn that also might power the fuel pump (it doesn't, I'm just using that as an example). Some circuits have lengthy descriptions of all the affected devices.

You have an SE, do you have a Zetec or SPI? You should be forewarned about the SPI engine. It has some serious mechanical issues.

SPI issues? Other than the valve guides is there more?

I was looking for a service manual. I found the owners manual online. That helped my fuse problem.

My SPI was recently rebuilt using new valve guides. The motor was "completely" rebuilt per the PO. The new Valve guides were the bigger type that he said is recommended because the SPI has a tendency to drop number 4 cylinder one.

Is there more problems with the SPI???

Thanks for the input. I will check on the Helm's manuals. Had some for my old Pontiacs and there were good.

Nope. The valve guide problem is the big skeleton in the closet. If you've had that attended to by a reputable mechanic, you're good to go. Happy motoring.
