2012 Focus Turbo Kit
Just bought a 2012 Focus Hatchback and looking to find out when and if they will release a turbo kit for it. I know the ST model will hit the USA next year but I dont want to wait for that. Anyone know if there is one out there that will fit the 2012 or if they will release one?
Thanks |

Congrats on the new car and Welcome to ff I think I would have waited for an st and got a factory turbo and upgraded that. if you do get a kit say goodbye to a warranty and I assume it will be a few years till they are made to sell.

I haven't had alot of time to read up on the 2012, what engine does it have in it?
I'm sure you could get a one-off kit built for under 2k all said and done, is tuning even available for the 2012? Also if its direct injection, that might be another task... |

The engine is going to be a 1.9 turbo direct Injection. They are still tweaking bugs out of it trying to get it just right. Also south America will rejoice they are getting that 1.9t in their fiesta! When does america catch up?

Yeah why didn't you just wait for a Focus ST to come out could have spent 3-4k more got a warranty on the car and have it turbo ed now you would have to put a turbo on and it will void the warranty. Well th ST is coming out in prob 6 months and i am pretty sure if you trade in your car you will lose a good chunk on the trade in.

My dad works for ford so when I trade it in I will have no problem getting what I owe on it. I put a lot of money down, just had to trade in the sports car for something with better MPG for now. Ford just needs to hurry and bring the ST to america. And the engine is 2.0 direct injection.

I hope you don't want too much power. Direct injection is so much fail for big power.

Nothing extreme thats what I got the Nissan for got that baby up to 522hp w/ 550 ft lbs of torque. Just want the ST for something else fun to drive. I traded in the old WRX for the focus but the WRX was getting old and it was his time.
