Does the ECU know what gear the MTX is in?

Hmmm. Otay! I think then it is derived from available info, and not expressed as a particular gear for anything except the human interface in advantage pro.

you can do it. tons of people have (including me) you just get a bunch of codes cause the computer goes WTF i'm not changing the gears AAHHH!!!!
when you do the swap you cut out the computers knowledge of what gear its in except for reverse (i think or what you re-wire could just turn on the lights).

I am sorry! I totally misunderstood you. When you said "ATX computer", I thought you were making a joke (Y'know...ATX computer! Like what is in my desktop system). Regarding your real meaning > I was not aware that they used a diff ECU for an automatic vs. a manual.

so basically if you had a tune that could be fixed right? Cool though.

And lol... Nah if I tried those Id go micro atx... Might fit inside the bellhousing.

I would think that as long as the ECU is the same tween MTX and ATX, then you could just go to Ford and have them load the stock MTX tune. Seems to be the simplest method. You may need to replace the dash indicators if you wanted them (shift point is the only one I know of).

maybe thats why my car idles higher when i'm rolling in neutral as i come up to a stop sign... it never goes down to my idle speed of 725 til i stop fully.
