My only real complaint is the watermark in the corner... It seems poorly thought out and is very distracting. If you're truly wanting to watermark your photos you can do it with the watermark feature in PS. If you're wanting to advertise your name/studio in the photos the design needs to be far less distracting and needs more information than just M|D because if I was just looking at the photo and disregarding any of your personal info, signature, etc, I would have no idea who took that photo.
how would you create depth in post? adding blur? I'm still new to pp'ing, so any new tips are always great.

The watermark is still an "in proccess" work. I've went through a couple of them now. Don't have a website either, so wouldn't be able to provide a link in the watermark. The MD stands for "Michael David" my first and middle name. I was thinking about possibly having the name directly underneath the MD in small print? or would that look redundant/tacky? I'm open to all options.

There are all types of tutorials around the net showing users different ways of adding depth/blur to their photos. One thing you need to remember though, before you go blurring everything, is having an understanding of how f-stop works. If you blur the wrong places or use too much blur, it'll be obvious to anyone. If you do it right, very few people will be able to clock it without a second look.

I don't recommend it, but if you're looking for a way to link people to your photography you can always create a facebook page for other people to like and share.

As far as design for the logo I would avoid serif fonts unless you are a wedding photographer or a woman. I would also avoid having high contrast elements, like that bold white line in the middle of two black letters. Remember to keep it simple and provide the viewer with enough information for them to at least google you.

This is rough but I'm at work and all I've got is MS Paint

But its an idea to get you started.

right on. I actually really like that. What symbol is that in between the M and David? And what font did you use?

No, and that isn't me in the first pic (I'm in my avatar. :) ) I'm Japanese-Brazilian. The young woman in the first picture is Mediterranean (Greek, specifically).

That other shot is of a blown glass art piece inside of a blown glass bubble. The jellyfish themselves are totally blown glass...it's insane!
