What doesn't impress you about the 5D mkII? I've never heard anything but overwhelmingly good things about that camera.

I thought it would have been a lot better image quality then what ive seen so far. Image size is only like 23x14 out of the camera in raw. Im d3100 is like 19x12. Thought image size would have been bigger. Oh well I can always sell it if it doesnt prove its self to me.

If you're worried about straight up image size, shoot film. 5D mkII is a professional camera body and has made a lot of people a lot of money.

Actually a 50mm is a bit less than an 85 on a crop sensor.
For a Canon it's 80mm (1.6x50)
For a Nikon it's 75 (1.5x50)

I love prime lenses. I own 3 and rent plenty depending on my projects.

The 5D MKII is quite great. And has more information than your D3100 and also a wider view for your lenses as well. (Well, equivalent ones, since you are talking about a Canon Full frame vs a Nikon Crop frame)

23x14? Where did you get that number?

I have printed a 60x40 photo with both a Nikon D300s and Canon 5D MKII. It really depends on how your file is managed and how the Print company handles it as well. Both photo came out great for my clients.

And the Canon 5D MkII is not the only camera that has made people money. Any DSLR tool used by a trained person can make money.

I have always been disappointed when I run into people who buy the next best thing of DSLRs but still wonder why they can't do as well as those who have had theirs for a couple of years.

That's what I'm seeing now! All the hype about full frame etc. I've been able to make my d3100 perform very well since I know where it shines.
