that does look very nice.

lol that's one way to do it... I forgot you people use bigger flashes. I cover the whole thing with one finger and it makes the whole foreground red.

^^

nice car. only gripe with the photos is the exposure. you lose the top of the fender with the background in the first, and the front bumper, parts of the side skirts, and tires in the second. I'm assuming no flash/strobes were used?

oh, and I broke down and bought an 85 f/1.8 the other day from B&H. Should be here mid next week. Next lens is most likely the sigma 10-20mm. I've got some portrait and engagement shoots coming up, so I figured the 85 would be a better purchase for now. That lens seems to get a lot of really good reviews. Supposed to be comparable to the 50 1.4 sharpness/bokeh wise.

Nice purchase. I'll be in the market for a fast prime in the 85mm to 105mm range after I replace my 50mm 1.8 with one in the AF flavor.

you're on a crop sensor, aren't you? if so, the 50 is actually closer to the 85 (80). the 85 is ~135ish. and the AF 50 1.8 can be found for like $75-80 on photography-on-the.net. They sell them used there all the time.

There's one for sale local for $60. And yes I'm on a crop sensor.

I already have a 24mm f2.8, 28mm f2.8, 35mm f1.8, and the MF 50mm f1.8
