The only thing I didn't like about the T3i from the research I did was that you can't use any off brand lenses with it. Anything but a Canon lens gives you image errors.

Saw a couple reviews stating that. Kind of turned me away from it.

And because I haven't posted anything in here for a while.. cell phone shot. Boom.

That's weird, can't use third party lenses on a DSLR ... I haven't heard of that one.

Are you sure?

Sigma, Tamron and Tokina have been making lenses as an alternative to all of the DSLRs for a long time and many people use them. It's surprising to hear that on the Canon Crop sensors would have a problem now.

I read a few reviews (on Amazon I think) where people had problems after they took the pictures with the 3rd party lenses. When they went to view them on the camera, they got an error message, so as to force people to ONLY use Canon lenses now.

I hope they were wrong because I really wanted to get the T3i when I upgrade. But that kept me from it a little bit.
