HDR imagery is about getting the most realistic scene possible. I doubt the sky was that blue as in your third picture above.

With the over saturation it strays from photography into graphic art. Not that there's anything wrong with that necessarily.

Are those true HDR shots or just a lot of post processing? I would not have expected the clouds in the church picture to stay still for that long. It also appears to have some of the halo effect you get when you play with shadows and highlights too much.

I agree with D that your images straddle the line between photography and graphic art. I personally believe that more thought should go into selecting and composing the right shot, and that things like Photoshop should enhance the image, not define it. That being said, I like your b&w of the train the best out of all of your pictures that you put up.

It's allways interesting too look at your earliest HDR and your most recent and compare.

Earliest:

While HDR's "wide dynamic range allows images to represent more accurately the range of intensity levels found in real scenes," I don't look at any HDR image and think to myself, "Oh wow, that looks real." Maybe I'm strange, but they look much more saturated and dynamic than real life.

My images obviously use a lot of tone mapping, since I was limited by a 3-exposure maximum in my camera's auto exposure bracketing. I'm not a professional, nor pretend to be. I like taking pictures, and I like surreal & vivd photography. For me it is more art and less a record of where I've been.

A good portion of HDR images contain clouds, which rarely sit still. AEB allows the camera to take sequential shots at differing exposures. Then the desired elements of each image are combined in post processing resulting in a wider dynamic range than possible with just one image/ exposure.

I know some of you know this, but it appears some do not. =]

That is a badass shot! Do you have a larger version I'd love to use that as a wallpaper.

The Golden Gate seems to be a main attraction for HDR images lol. I see it a lot when I Google search HDR stuff.

There's some amazing stuff if you search HDR I got me a few good wall papers. Those shots made me so jealous I want to work harder on my photography.

Well I have officially been bitten by the photography bug.... Thanks WiscoZx3. It started with me buying his Nikon P100 a few weeks back, then receiving some photo editing software, and now I can honestly say I'm infected, and loving every minute of it. I will admit I am new to the photography thing and Ryan(WiscoZx3) is helping me out a lot. Just like every hobby, the best thing to do is practice and that's exactly what I've been doing. I have mainly been focused on car photography so everyone is aware.

Here is some of my recent work.
