It all depends on what you also want to photograph.

If you are going to stick with cars, the entry-level DSLRs do just fine.

You want to get into Sports, find a DSLR with Continuos Focus ... that adds quite a bit to a camera cost. Usually over $1000.

You need it to shoot portraits - any of the DSLRs with a 50mm or longer prime lens. Usually for a single Portrait, 50 or 85 hit the sweet spot.

You want to capture automotive sports, find a good SLR with a fast fps (frame per second) burst mode. 5+ are the best on cars. They move fast, but if you grasp the technique of "panning", you will be good in capturing moving cars.

You want to do those long shutter car motion shots, find a very wide lens. Usually 17mm or smaller.

You want to print large prints that can go on billboards ... be ready spend some major dough.

So, my point, it all depends on what kind of photography interests you, that renders the equipment the best for you or something you need to think about jumping into a better model.

^^Keyword RSS alerts, most likely. Some celebrities do the same thing to see who is talking about them, mostly(I'm assuming) to see who they can sue.

Personally, salesperson or not, it smacks of spam...

Not really; I don't flood forums with identical messages; I don't use any kind of automated messaging; I don't target individuals directly and I don't have anything at all to do with the sales team.
My job is only to look out for the best interests of Adorama customers across the Internet - as a sort of customer advocate.

Fair enough. It's obvious enough from your posts that you're not a bot, and it never hurts to see a presence from a company looking out for their clientele. Frankly, it has piqued my interest in y'alls site and plan on taking a look as soon as I have some spare cash to spend on lenses and such.

Agreed. The fact that her position exists at all makes me more interested in doing business with them. I'll be ordering my 5D Mark II body soon - perhaps I'll go through Adorama instead :)

That's really nice!

Well, I'm always happy to help with general queries &/or after-sales support if you ever need it.

Went downtown to "Super Bowl Village" for the Dierks Bentley Concert.

I just took my old p&s, but I got a few decent pics and thought I'd share.
I'll be taking the camera and tripod down in a few days since a live a whole .3 miles away lol
