Throw a little noise and some dust and scratches in it and I'd like it a lot more...lol

It's just desaturated right?

exposure bumped quite a bit. Then masked off the bottom and bumped the exposure on the top more. Sharpened, desaturated, adjust curves, strategic burning, etc.

Yes, that's the lens I was referring to. I want one. Lol
Im seriously considering picking up a cheap body and blowing a ton of money on lenses soon.
I hate not being able to perfect get the feels I'm going for. Theres only so much I can take care of in post.

I've been trying my hand at it as well.
It hasn't been going well but >90% of my shots are at night.
And shooting a basically stock focus has gotten old.
I have over 600 pictures of my car at this point.

I REALLY like this shot.

I have no idea why. I realized its not good at all. For some reason i really like it though. It might be because I enjoyed playing in the ice so much that night.

Okay, what do you guys think about a d70 or d3100?
I can find them used around the $300 range.
Opinions?
Or should I just get a better body from the start?

I say start with something on the lower end. I'm using a Sony alpha 300. Get something with good settings, white balance, a high iso and 10.4 -12.2 mp. Getting a high end body, I think you will get overwhelmed with all the settings. If you get a lower end body you can learn all those settings, get comfortable, and then get a more expensive body.

I like my d3100. It's a good camera to learn on.

I say anything that can shoot in RAW and can take different lenses will work just fine.
