Ok. This is getting tougher than I thought even with your help. The MSRP on a SEL Hatchback with just 302A is $23,290. These two cars must have other options. I may look into ordering one. If the ordered car is not ready before the expiration on the Private Cash, I have to "finalize" the deal to keep the Private Cash? Does "finalizing" mean I need to put the money down and the loan starts at that point?

Correct on the private cash, I think these have either moonroof, winter pkg, etc.

Your company has to be on a list of select X-plan companies to get it. You cannot combine it with the $750 so you're better off keeping what you have.

* $750 available on a new 2011/2012 Ford or Lincoln vehicle. $500 on Fiesta and Focus. Not available on 2011/2012 hybrids, Fiesta S, Focus S, Taurus SE, Edge SE AWD, Raptor, Shelby GT500,™ Mustang Boss® 302. May not combine with other private or commercial offers. A/Z/D Plan ineligible.

It IS compatible with X-Plan, isnt it?

It is because it's designed for X-Plan, however as you see it's only $500 and you have a $750 private offer that's currently better.

What I Drive: 2012 Red Candy Focus SE 5-Dr Stick

I got off the phone with the dealer (Dealer 1) again today, and he is having a hard time getting the Candy Red Focus SE Hatchback from the other dealer. Dealer did not want to give it up. He instead found a similar vehicle. Race Red Focus SE Hatchback Manual, 203A, and Sports package. The Candy Red had the same thing and a moonroof.

So I called up the dealer (Dealer 2) with the Candy Red, and asked him regarding that specific car. He said that I should come in. Obviously that is not happening because I'm still in a different state. I asked him for a price on the car, and he said he can't give me one, because it may not be there on Tuesday, when I'm back. I then said, if the price suits me, I would put a deposit down right now. He said that it is illegal to put a deposit on a car. I'm not a legal expert or car dealership expert, but that just sounds like bull to me. I have talked to 4 other Ford dealerships in the area, and they would all take a deposit. He also said that the car will probably have $3k markup, but he will cut me a deal. If the car is still there on Tuesday, he will give me a call.

This is what Dealer 1 has offered. Dealer 2 does not reveal their prices apparently. The Race Red Focus will cost $20,017. The Candy Red, if he got it, would have been, $20,850. Am I getting a decent deal on the Race Red Focus? I'm still waiting to get a brochure from Ford with hopefully a coupon. The deadline is getting closer and I don't know if I'm going to get it in time if at all.

We cannot do deposits either, all it does it hold the price not the vehicle. You need a signed contract and a deposit to officially hold the vehicle.

The vehicle is in Idaho that is 203A red candy with sport pkg, MSRP 23,030. Race red with sport pkg is around $19,700 invoice so a couple hundred isn't terrible for a locate.

$19,700 being invoice, and I will be getting it for $20,017, that's not bad at all. Now with the private cash coupon from Ford. That is money from Ford and not the dealership, correct? Do you know any way to get the coupon or brochure guaranteed or quicker, because I put in a request for the brochure on Ford's website over 2 weeks ago and have not received an email or anything in the mail. I am hoping to go buy the vehicle on Tuesday or so.
