Hey imccrea,

I am buying a Focus out in California, and unfortunately I cannot wait to order one and have it built over the 6 - 8 week time frame. Fortunately, I found a Focus that I like a lot and want to know if I'm getting a good deal.

Red Candy Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (I don't know which Red Candy code it is, is this in ETIS?)

Also checked ETIS that it has active shutters since it was for a "Green State". Woot!

The MSRP one the window sticker is $21,870. The dealer does not have the vehicle and will have to do a dealer swap for the vehicle. They want to sell it to me for $20,350. The closest dealer to that wants to sell me the same vehicle (they have to do a dealer swap also) for $20,900. I checked TrueCar.com and it seems like I am getting a good deal. Am I actually getting a good deal?

Considering they are no longer making that color, and they are selling it under sticker I would say yes, thats a good deal.

My understanding is that they now are back to making the color, they just changed the color code. I don't know if it is a visible difference in the actual color. I was also reading on this forum that the factory out in Japan is back up and running again. Nonetheless, it seems like a good deal, just want to make it is. This is my first time buying a new car, and the second time buying a car in general.

Depends if they have started to build it, if you're at least a week out I would say you can change but it all depends where you are at on the line.

Before or after rebates?
If you inquired through TrueCar.com they are part of ZAG and usually are priced around invoice less rebates. Invoice is $20,653 on this vehicle so if that's before rebates, incredible deal.
