Not everyone can get X-Plan, depending on who you work for you could qualify through work. There is also friends and family that qualifies. I've sold Mazda before and they are good cars, but the technology in them is far inferior and the battery life on one is horrid. Also if the battery is low then your power steering goes out.

All depends on your dealer, if you gave a deposit then they'll probably keep it. If it falls off the train or something they just order you another one.

If you ordered a weird build code with different colors then you're going to be taking it more than likely.

So- who here wants to be my friend to help me get x-plan?! :)

Yeah I have a Mazda 6- I did lose the battery once for no apparent reason- forgot all about that.

I've driven a Mazda for the last 10 yrs. It's been near bomb-proof. I had a window regulator and a transmission sensor fail, and it was in an accident. The only durrability complaints are that the stock tires only last 30k mi & I've had to replace the headlamp bulbs a couple times. My batteries have lasted ~3 yr, but I buy those at Sam's, and if they wear out before their full life, Sam's prorates the next one. I am praying that the Focus will be as reliable.

It certainly isn't as high tech as the Focus, but that also means fewer things to go wrong. It has nothing like the MFT glitches.

For $40 you can sign up at EAA.com and that will get you the X-plan. After signing up, you'll have to get a pin number for the Ford x plan.

Looks like it takes 30 days though? Going for the Focus SEL Hatch- I'm guessing I should look at invoice form TrueCar and figure the X Price wil get me close to that number?

I'm in LA California- I guess my big question-what is the invoice price for the following and what can I expect to get normally and if i go through the X-price?

5Door SEL- automatic in silver or grey
5Door SEL automatic with 301a in silver or grey

It also looks like you can get an Xplan by owning stock in Ford. 100 shares for at least 6 months. I jsut can't seem to find a way of reaching Shareholder Relations Services. The 800 # no one picks up. Does anyone have this info of how to request a PIN for this?

A SEL 301 with no options comes up to $22,890.
X Plan is $21,859.67
Then take your rebates off.

Thanks! Just test drove the SEL again, hatch and 4 door- I may actually go for 4 door now- save some money- and maybe even get MyTouch instead. This thread has been a great help!
