I have an order form/signed contract with the final prices laid out...

Car price: 25,025
Trade in: 4,500
Tax: 1449.43
Title: 99
License: 124
Doc: 156
Total before balance owed on trade & rebates: 22,353.51

I will raise a big stink if they deviate from this.

Just got my $750 rebate in an email- just when I was about to go Prius instead of Ford. Well, now I am going to bring in all my equipment and see how it fits in the Focus. My problem was- it seems a little too small for what I need it for. But hey, with all the savings worth a shot. Are there any other incentives going on right now? Low financing? If Ford dealer gives me a good price for my trade in to- It might be too good to turn down.

Thanks for your help via PM, finally getting ready to buy. I live in South Carolina, found a vehicle about 5 hours away in North Carolina and have been working with the dealership there. My local dealer was having a hard time getting dealers to do a trade, and said that the trade could cost me up to $400-500 to transport the vehicle.

So we are looking at an SEL in Grey, moonroof and Rapid Spec 301A, with a D plan price of $20939. The dealer is trying to charge us a Doc Fee of $409, even though on the D plan agreement it states that the dealer is only allowed to charge a Doc Fee up to $100. I have been on the phone with the sales rep at the dealership and he said the manager won't move off of that $409 number, even after I sent the D Plan agreement to them. They are saying NC law allows them to charge that fee. Any advice? I thought about contacting my local dealership again and seeing if they could secure a trade for the vehicle, but that is risky and I might incur extra cost from that anyway.

Thanks for the help via PM.

I have located the vehicle I want, it's 5 hours away from me and I've been working by phone with the dealership there (I'm in South Carolina, he's in NC). The only sticking point right now is that they're trying to charge $409 for Doc Fee when the D plan specifies that they can only charge $100. The sales guy wants to make the deal, but the manager won't budge on that number, even after I sent the D plan paperwork specifying the restriction. What should I do?

Thanks for your help in the PMs

OK, third try:
Dealer in NC is trying to charge us a Doc Fee of $409, even though D plan specifies that they're only allowed to charge us up to $100. I told them about the D plan specifications, and the salesperson is ready to get the deal done, but his manager is complaining and saying that he won't come down off the $409 doc fee.

We have had to do all of this by phone as we live 5 hours from the dealership. What should we do? Also, I know the D plan says they need to see documentation (pay stubs, marriage certificate, ect), but how common is it for them to ask us to provide these documents? I have the D plan certificate.

$500 plus your $750 plus 2.9% at 36, 3.9% at 48, 4.9% at 60.

OKAY, Im looking for a 2011 Focus. I own one now 2003 ZTW and want something nice to suprise my wife. She works hard you know. What can you do for me? If you got a great deal on a 2012, we can do that too. Trade in available - 2006 PT Cruiser 65000 miles. Clean, no problems.

I think you are better off going to your local dealer, I can't really provide much help since you are in NC. Also a 2011 is very difficult to find, you might be better off getting a 2012 at or around invoice.
