Just my .02.
Don't know if I would say it will be a "bad purchase" as long as it is an educated purchase. BEV is not for your average consumer.

Ford has said they are planning for very small yearly sales (under 10,000 units) unlike Chev and Nissan whom are diving into the BEV market with boot feet, it looks like Ford is being wise and banking on the Hybrids and Plug in Hybrids being the volume choices aka new C-Max Energi and C-Max Hybrid.

All up to the dealers ordering, the Focus will always target economy segments meaning a Titanium will never represent over 25% of orders (likely only 10-15%).

Just have to order them that way to get it.

imccrea, thanks for the reply. I figured yellow wouldn't be popular, but that would just make me more unique. Do you have any info on what else is different between the SEL & Ti?

GhiaFan, thanks for the info. I knew Houston was one of the cities to get the eFocus, and I'm pretty much an ideal candidate for it since there is no winter here, no hills, and my commute is short enough that I'd be fine if even if I miss charging for a few days. I figure it would satisfy at least 90% of my driving needs without much anxiety.

I just don't like not making a decision because I'm waiting for pricing, options, colors, real-world range, etc, on the eFocus. But I suppose even when it is released, there won't be any sitting around in showrooms to test drive, anyway.

imccrea, would a new car dealership normally purchase my car even if I wasn't buying from them (I am taking delivery from them though)?

Overseas delivery?

Some do, some don't.

So in your personal opinoin should I just purchase it now without the 750 rebate or wait and hope that the current $500 rebate continues next month and let the 750 rebate go?

From what I've heard from other people here even when they request the brochure it isn't 100% a guarantee you'll get it. 1 guy tried 5 times to no avail, if you are afraid it will sell then def. buy it.

I've heard that the brochure rebates are location based? I'm coming out of the zipcode 02886 can you see if that zipcode is eligible for the voucher?
