what is this $500 rebate I am seeing here?
Can i get this rebate if I am using the X-plan? No rebates have been offered to me; should I ask about this before finalizing my deal on an SE hatch?

If you finance with Ford at 4.9% at 60 months you get the $500 rebate.

Ahhhhhh ok. At 4.9% they more than make their money back.
I'm looking at a lease so I guess the x-plan is as good as I'll get...

Thanks for the quick reply!

hey immcrea, is it normal for a Ford Dealer to advertise a Focus someone has ordered? The VIN# my dealer gave me for my Focus order is showing on their website as being in inventory.

Def. not normal here, usually it's marked sold in the system through Ford as an order and thus won't show up on the website either.

The salesman told me the situation. He said it is indeed just an automatic generation on the dealer's website. He clarified that the stock# given to the car is just a random number as the normal dealer stock# starts with two letters. Also he said the VIN# is tied to my name and his name so anyone who goes to see the car see that it has been sold already.

Glad I was able to get this clarified.

Hey imccrea, thanks for all the information you have provided in this thread. Since I'm local maybe we can help each other out.

In the next week I'm planning on ordering a 2012 Focus Sedan Titanium with 401A, Winter Package, Moonroof, Exterior Protection Package, Navigation, and the Polished 17" Wheels. Unfortunately it seems my first two color choices of Kona Blue and Candy Red are both going to be unavailable. I would be fine with Sonic Blue as an alternative. Is there a way I can place an order now for Sonic Blue (or Kona Blue and have it converted to Sonic Blue)? I would want the standard Charcoal Leather interior, not one of the color packages.

I'd appreciate it if you could work me up some pricing information. I have an X-Plan PIN available, unless you can do better without it. I'd also like to know what ballpark I'm looking at with the current trade environment. I have a 2007 VW GTI with 63000 miles. How far off of KBB/NADA trade value are you generally seeing? I know its impossible to give me an exact figure without seeing the car, but if your Used Car Manager is starting out at $2k back of book I'll probably just sell it myself. I'd just like to avoid the hassle if possible.

Thanks a bunch for the help. Please PM me your contact info.

Jeff

Hey Jeff, I may be ordering the same Focus! minus the ext. protection pkg, rather have someone put on Venture Shield protection on bumper, hood and lower door sides. Candy Red was my first choice also, leaning to Sterling Grey now. I have an Xplan pin also.

Anytime a car is released from the plant and the inventory manager doesnt take it off locator it will hit as inventory. Your name will be in the window sticker how you ordered it if you take a look/

I guess that just means you have good taste. I like the grey and would consider it if my current car wasn't grey. I wanted something different. My car colors in reverse order: grey, silver, white, silver, black, white, grey. You can probably see why I'm ready for some color.

...and no I didn't consider the yellow. I'll leave that for Hasselhoff and the Camaro from the Transformer movies.
