Ask a Ford salesman anything (Incentives, Inventory, etc)

Hey folks, I'd like some advice. I live in zip code 19063

I was pre approved w/ my CU for $25000 at 2.49% - I have 90 days to use this.

I'm looking for a black Focus Ti hatchback w/ leather and sunroof. Both are a must
Nav, winter pkg, handling pkg are optional (i'd like these but don't want to turn down a good deal because it's not on the car)

I am eligible for X-Plan through my employer.

I will be trading in a 2002 Ford Focus LX 4dr w/ 79K miles
and maybe another $2500+ in cash

Give me your best advice on how I should approach the dealership. I've never negotiated a car in my life, I don't want any dealer extras or extended warranties.

What would be my out the door price w/ all the information I have just given you?

How do rebates/incentives work? Right now when I search dealer inventory '12 have $1500 customer cash and '13 are just $500

I do not care if I purchase a 2012 or 2013 - They both seem the same to me. I'd go for best/lower deal.

Well you qualify for X plan so don't worry about the negotiation, it's already set in stone what you pay and you receive $1,500 in rebate on top of X plan pricing. 13's are not out yet so don't worry about that I would say.
A 2012 with navi, roof, winter pkg in my area is MSRP $26,455, X plan is $25,017.79 then take another $1,500 off that price for your rebate. I'd just imagine finding a titanium in FL with winter pkg could be difficult but not sure.

l bought a 2012 Focus Se couple of days ago. I got $2000 rebate ($1500 Ford rebate + $ College grad rebate). I also ordered a brochure and received a $500 private cash offer. The dealer told me that I cannot combine private cash offer with college rebate so I can use only one of them. Is this correct? If it is not correct, is there a way to get $500 cash back from the dealer or Ford at this point?

You can only combine 2 of 3 offers so they are correct.

Are you still able to custom order a 2012 focus? I want a white titanium, with black rims, and specific options and the dealer I spoke with said there are hardly any titaniums left in Canada... He also said that they are only producing 2013 now, but when I mentioned that I could still build and price the 2012 on the ford website he said didn't seem to know, said that they could still be making them.

Not 100% sure on Canadian built vehicles but we have 2013's that will be here in less than 2 weeks. So if you were ordering here it would be a 13.

Thank you for the quick reply. Guess I will have to go to the dealer again and get someone who knows for sure to answer.. Does the 2013 have all the same options as the 12? Im very particular about what options are on the car.

The build and price should have 2013's as well, so you can check options there.
