Ford never sent me my $500 college incentive

I purchased my new 13' Focus on December 15, 2012. They said it would take 6-8 weeks to recieve a check in the mail from Ford. Today is March 15 - 3 months after purchase. I even called my purchasing dealership over a month ago and spoke with the financial advisor there (who I worked with on purchase) and he said he would take care of it for me.

Maybe I should contact my regional customer service person?

Uh? That doesn't make sense. When we do college grad incentives customer provides us proof we apply it to the order.

Are you sure it wasn't applied to the cost of the car instead of being sent as a rebate check? Usually they put those items down as part of the down payment for the car rather than returning it to the customer.

... i'm starting to think they lied to me. Now that I think of it... I called Ford a while ago and they told me the incentives applied to my purchase: $2,000 rebate and $395 Sync rebate. The college incentive wasn't one of the one's Ford told me was applied. But my dealership told me Ford would send me a check in the mail.
By the way my dealership also lied about my price but I let it go. Basically they increased the negotiated price by $200 before applying the $395 Sync rebate, therefore only giving me half of my actual rebate ($200).
This... angers... me.
I called my dealership and asked where is my college incentive check.. i spoke to the financial guy who did my purchase, he said he would take care of it. He never called me back. That was over a month ago. Now I know why he didnt call me back/take care of it. They LIED.
I will call them back on monday and also I will call my Ford customer service rep. Ford is awesome but do not go to Sheehy Ford of Gaithursburg, MD EVER.

The price reduction for sync was not a rebate, and was directly subtracted from the msrp of the car, therefore should not have been counted as a rebate afaik.

It was a discount instead.

The point is that the dealership jipped me some. don't argue. I was there. I know what I paid and what the price should have been.

For once don't argue or defend the dealership. They did some really sneaky and grimey stuff.
