TRS/SCCA RALLYCROSS CHALLENGE (March 23 & 24, 2013)

For anyone who is interested in attending or racing at a RallyCross event here is your chance:

"Texas Rallysport LLC and Lone Star Region SCCA will team up to hold the first ever Texas RallyCross National Challenge in the Southwest Division of the SCCA. Competitors will come from far and wide, Texas is a big state, to battle for bragging rights for divisional class championships, contingency money and to have some fun power sliding sideways in the dirt. The event will be held on the 93 acre front yard of the famous Texas World Speedway in College Station, with this much space we have the option to potentially run four completely different courses over the two days of competition. Beside class trophies, special interest awards are also in the works as well."

And is that photo of James? Looks like it. I recognize the little mazda. He took it out to AutoX the day he finished it ... then into Rally he went. Such a sweet ride.

I am a bit surprised he didn't stick with the Subi.

Sucks, because I really wanted to come and at least watch this.

Just a reminder that it should be free to spectate and most folks are not opposed to giving ride-alongs... so just come by, even if it is for an hour or so.

SCCA National SOLO tour is in College Station during this same weekend so you could actually justify the trip by attending both a National RallyCross and National Autocross event at the same time. It is almost unheard of to have two National level events side-by-side like this.

And yea, Zach, with the Mazda2 told me about the National Tour for Solo.

Again, if it wasn't for my busy weekend, I would definitely be down.

Funky thing, the national tour for Solo isn't on the calendar on houSCCA.com ... I didn't even check DLB.
