I liked the rivets covered too, but if you are really road racing, that's a waste of time. If you drive it hard, you will knock them around quite a bit, and it will be a PITA to constantly repair them if seams filled.

Aesthetically I'd prefer no rivets.
However, if he's going to be road racing, they're going to get beat up and need a lot of repair, especially in the fillings. I'd vote to keep the rivets. Looks good either way! |

and agreed. Don't you have all of Dom's suspension parts for racing? Or both show and go?

go to fastenal and ask for some rivnuts. (its goes into the sheetmetal on the body like a rivet, but is threaded for a bolt) get some bolts that fit said rivnuts that look nice but are inexpensive, get the right tool to install them and boom. instant factory race team look if you have to take one off.

rivet them on and mold them in using fiberglass. its gonna crack eventually no matter what you do. now i was thinking maybe you can purchase the fender/quarter rs panels and weld/mold them into your fender and quarter? did you look into that at all instead of osmething plastic that will crack. im not expert but like everyone is saying. it will suck to have to keep repairing the pieces from road racing. so id go with the rivnuts or do what you feel is best.
