ive replaced mine 3 times. once for snow, once for car wash brush, and third (and still broken) dumb ass friends. just keep finding them at my junk yard. really need to get another one. oh well

This was positively fantastic. Not only did you precisely list exactly what tools you'd need, but you listed the part number, and photographs of the step-by-step instructions. Because of you, I was able to replace my antenna within, literally, five minutes time...that's all it took. It was SO EASY to do. Without this thread, I wouldn't have had a clue how to do this and would've ended up taking it to a dealer and been charged a fortune in labor. Sending you virtual hugs for an awesome 'how to'. xxx

Broken antenna base...

Brushing the 7" of snow off yesterday, broke the antenna off at the base. Told myself [until finding this thread] that it'll have wait until the spring but will order the new base & mast [old mast flex part rubber was dry rotted and needed replacing anyway] and get them in next week! Great pix & write up, is this a sticky-if not it should be!!
