well, back from my trip - hardly got 31.4mpg on 100% highway steady speed, sometimes on cruise control.... filled up with Octane 89 (10% Ethanol). We were 4 adults, perhaps that changes something, but... really not impressed!

4 adults will most definitely put a damper in your economy. The 3 additional people, assuming approx 500 lbs, adds over 1/6th of your car's empty curb weight.

On the flip side, 31.4 still seems low, even with that much additional weight. I get better than that with a majority of city mileage (32.5, with Handling Package, K&N Drop in, Shell V-Power 91).

How many miles are on your car, and how many tanks have you gone through since the last time your vehicle has had a Reset?

Do you really need me to post pictures of the gas pump and my odometer?

Here's my Fuelly info, for whatever it's worth.

Was averaging 33mpg 80/20 hwy/city.....switched to regular unleaded (no ethanol) and past 1500 miles my average mpgs have jumped to 36 mpg. Almost a 10% jump in mpgs for a 3% price increase for the gas with no ethanol.

From what i remember of energy content of gas + ethanol, that's exactly what you would expect.

These high compression GDI engines are appearing to be very sensitive to octane ratings, so experiment accordingly!
