31.5 average, 50/50 city and highway, I am happy with it. Would love to see that 40.

Took a 400 mile round trip, 95% highway and boosted it up to 34.9

So, record the km's at each fill up as well as the liters of gas and do that for at least 3 tanks to even out variations in tank filling. I would think the worst case would be more like 25mpg, again, unless you spend hours idling...

good point. I've created a profile on Fuelly and I've been able to track the past 4 fill-ups (including the 1/4 complimentary tank from the deal). The 1st fill up had lots of idle time and heavy stop & go since there was a problem with the brakes when I left the dealer. They also took it for a few road tests. Besides that, it's normal city trafic (stop & go and mix of highways).

I'm not near the break-in period, I'm only at 868km on my ODO and average so far, my average (after calculations) sits at 13.6L/100km *yikes!*... anyhow, I'm confident #'s will get better!

1,200 miles on a loaded Titanium, and I am getting 30.4 in mostly highway
(70/30) driving. I would like to see this in the mid 30's but the sports suspension and the 18" tires aren't helping, but I do love this car. I get compliments all the time.

The front and rear diffusers helped me a lot. In town driving only I get 34-37 mpg average. My highway is 40+.

I just got my 2012 Hatchback, manual tranny, 17" wheels, sport and calculated my first avg mpg on my first tank.
32.57. Not bad IMO, especially because I drove it a tad gutsier than I would, and I feared the break in would really drag it down. I expect it'll rise quite nice after a few thousand miles.
This was mostly highway, some city. maybe %70/%30?
I also tend to shift a bit higher in this car (around 2500rpm) instead of low just because it's a tad lacking in the low end.

Had the car 1 year now, 26900 miles. Do 85%+ highway driving for commute, 125 miles/day. Summer MPG is ~39-40, winter MPG is 35-36, summer high is 43 (recorded that last week :-)). Went 525 miles on the tank before I had to fill up, and the light had just gone on. Love the mileage on this car...

I'm at 800 miles on the car, and the internal computer is saying 30.7 MPG's. DCT, SEL, Hatchback.

I'd love to see 35-36, and I know I have a little more breaking in to do. My daily commute is about 60% highway and 40% stoplights, stop signs, traffic/suburban blah.

I've managed to get 30.5 and I'm just over 2k miles. I'm driving a manual shift. I'd like to see better and assume straight out highway driving will do it. I seem to be getting 28 in my area which is suburban and semi-rural.
