I honestly have not really paid attention, but my guess (for me) is somewhere in the high teens. I did not buy this car for the fuel economy. Wait, let me put that in other words. I bought a car I knew would be fuel effecient enough so I would not have to worry about it and count it.
I drive hard....like quite hard....................... and I am confident this car can handle me. Hell, I beat the snot out of my 96' Escort, and I only buried it because I got unreal trade in value. I drove the escort like I stole it, and it never reacted negatively..... I plan to drive this car almost as hard.

i have my focus up there and you can adjust the site to show L/100km or MPG. 9L/100km does seem high, have you calculated the actual economy by hand yet? I do a mix of about 60/40 highway/city and my average is about 7.2

Yesterday is when I actually started seeing it drop slowly to the 8L range and been decreasing since (now mileage around 470 km). Also did my first fill-up yesterday, and assuming that I had a full tank on delivery, with manual calculation, I managed to actually get around 8.0L/100km instead of the 9 it was saying for 3 days. |

always calculate it by hand. but remember its going to be roughly 6,000km's until the engine is fully broken in and you start to get proper economy. again fuelly.com is a great site, it has a mobile web app that you can do from your smartphone right when your done filling up. tells you on the spot your L/100km rating. and then saves and compares each fill up for you, even tracks total amount you spent etc. My name is the same on there as it is on here if you want to add me, always curious to see what other Canadians are getting for mileage.

What kind of fuel do all of you put in your cars? Regular? Premium?
@OP... Please put up a poll for this thread, if you can. It'd be great to see what kind of MPG's everyone is getting. |

I have only ever used regular.
owners manual states premium would increase performance, doesn't say anything about increasing mileage. however there is a thread about using one over the other with people saying they get increased mileage. I just bought some octane booster and added it to this tank i am on now...ill let you know if i notice any difference

Everything I have read in auto publications /consumer reports says that premium rarely pays for itself. That is, the roughly 8-10% extra cost does not result in a 8-10% increase in MPG. The only time I might use premium is before an Autocross race or something like that. I have also read that most engines are designed and programmed to for the owners manual recommended octane.
