I'd like to hear the MOST gas anyone has gotten in their '12 Focus'?? Most cars hold more than the rated tank size and I like to know how much breathing room I have when I am trying to get to that station that is a dime cheaper.
From what I can tell the warning light goes on at 2 gallons remaining and the 0 miles left is at 1 gallon remaining based on the 12.8, but the real amount is probably even more than that.

Last Friday the wife and I took a trip to the Kalamazoo Air Zoo, an aviation museum in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Then we drove up the coast of Lake Michigan and had a nice picnic lunch in a state park before heading home.

Total miles driven was around 450, calculated MPG was 36.75 (trip computer indicated 36.7). No attempt was made to maximize fuel economy. I did plenty of 80 MPH running and we had the A/C on all the way home. I am very pleased.

Lifetime average fuel economy is just over 30 MPG. My daily driving is urban, with 35-45 MPH limits and many stoplights.

My brand new 2011 Focus SE is only getting 12L per 100km which is poor in my opinion. Can I expect this to get better ? (its only a week old)

Looks like a lot of money was spent on restoring these beauties to better than new condition. What a great museum

I was able to average 41 mpg the other day in highway driving. I had to be really careful and accelerate slowly, but it is certainly possible to stay above 40 mpg.

Right now I'm at 30.7 mpg, as I've been doing a lot of city driving lately, sometimes more aggressively. Still not bad though, considering many vehicles can't even do 30 mpg on the highway.

Mixed driving, though with a heavy foot as I try wring out every last bit of power from the engine, I'm averaging about 22MPG during first tank. I know it will improve as I break it in and MORE importantly lighten up on the pedal, lol!

23.3 and climbing. Lots of stop and go, and I'm revving the engine and accelerating in stretches of freeway when I can as part of the first 1000 miles..
