SEL Hatch with ~2000 miles. Overall mileage since I got the unit is 32.4mpg. Reset trip 1 Ave mpg about 800 miles ago, that is at 34.8mpg. drive is 80% flat highway on cruise in 73-75MPH range, 10% rural, 10% city.

3. You are now in Test Mode.

Use either the up or down arrow (I don't remember which one) to cycle through the different test screens. Shut the car off and restart to return to normal operation. It's pretty cool all the different tests. The MPH readout is about half way through.
thanks

Those are good numbers. I cannot wait to see what I get. I pick up my car either Sunday or Monday so won't know for a good 10 days after that when I expect to fill up for the first time. Even then I know I will be in the break-in period. I am really hoping for over 31mpg. I commute in Atlanta though and traffic can be a bear, but we do tend to drive pretty fast. So hard to say how that will all balance out in what mpg I get in the Focus.

New tank of gas from a local Shell station and 1400 miles on odometer... Seeing numbers I like again. Averaged 28.5 to 29.4 in city and 38.6 to 42.3 on open road averaging 65-70mph driving out to DFW airport. Definitely more like it. Here's to hoping those numbers become the norm... New goal is to surpass 43mpg highway on longer road trip I'm taking soon. Now wondering why last tank averaged so poorly... Gotta be that cheap stuff that non-chain station used.

As far as I know there was virtually no wind that day, those numbers were on about a 90 mile stretch of highway in Louisiana where the speed limit is either 55 or 65. That picture shows what I topped out at, when I reached my destination it was about 42 and beginning to drop due to the city driving. Since then I have been doing my normal commute to work which is about 50/50 split city and highway and I am averaging 35 on my new tank of gas. my overall average for the life of the car has almost reached 31.

Thanks for the details. You are getting GREAT numbers. I guess I just need to chill out and get a few more tank-fulls of experience but my instinct is that something is not right on my MPG.

I'm getting right at 37 with a 80/20 mix of highway to city driving. The car only has 950 miles on it so hopefully it will go up once it breaks in..

I got 40mpg for about two miles when I got lucky and didn't hit any stop lights in town

I'm averaging 29 right now based on the computer and about 50/50 driving. Plus most highway mileage is short trips so it's hard to get it up there when you have to floor it to get on the freeway, then 5 miles later you're already off again...and city driving sucks by me, bad roads, bad drivers and too many lights.

Going to calculate my mileage manually this tank, to see how it compares.
