Tuxedo Black Titanium with 18" 5-spoke alloys, the options I am missing are the parking package, heated seats, and maps for MFT.

Are you sure current mpg is not in the menu?

Nice number! Also good to see that even us handling package folks can see 40+! I see you have your cruise control set to 65 as well. I think cruise control on the 2012 will be a great way to grab high mpgs.

I think some of the people here hand-calculating their mpg ought to go on over to www.fueleconomy.gov and post their measured mpg's. It seems there's only one poster at that site with an atypically low number for the 2012....

"Current MPG" is not in the menus on the 2012 Focus. In general, it might be seen as a distraction that COULD cause an accident, while average is something you don't HAVE to watch as you are driving.

Any suggestions out there since I'm not finding much yet (2012's are obviously just out).
You can get the clear paint protection film. The Llumar stuff is really clear and glossy but not cheap. I was quoted about $550 for the front end (front of hood, entire front bumper/grill area back to front fender) plus mirrors. Still thinking about it...

The numbers I was seeing that impressed me a couple weeks ago are no more for some reason or another... At around 600 on the odometer I was getting 31-32 in city and 38-42 highway but now at 1300 on the odometer, not driving any different than I was as far as I can tell, I'm only seeing 26-28 city and 29-33 highway... Hope something isn't wrong and I just have been driving different and don't realize it... Going to dealer when I get low on gas again and have them fill my tank with dealership gas to see if it is the gas I'm using or my driving or the car... Not that the 30mpg area is horrible, but was getting better a couple weeks ago and definitely liked those numbers more. Anyone have insight into other explanations?

My Focus SEL is a little over 1000 miles now, I've had it for almost a month. I've been calculating my MPG according to fueleconomy.com. As for my driving environment. I been subjecting my car to normal work commute use so far (half interstate/half city). My first fill up, I calculated a 27.9 average. My second tank I averaged 28.8. I guess my average MPG should get better as I rack up miles. I guess it could be due to the break-in period for a new engine. We should be getting tops...31-33 average MPG eventually right?

I think my favorite thing thus far about the cruise control is that when I hit resume, the car doesn't drop into a super low gear and hard accelerate its way back to speed. This focus accelerates at a modest pace and it allows me to use my cruise for almost all driving situations. I've never had a car make me such a careful driver until this one, I am in love with it.
