Ok, yesterday I've done it: one round trip Montreal-Toronto-Montreal and let me say the car acted amazing. We were three persons in the first trip and only two on the way back and the car acted great. With 91 gas octane, AC on all the time (23 *C), 90% of hwy driving and 105 km/h (65 mph), I registered 6 l/100 km (39.3 mpg) and I could see a "distance to E" at my next fill up of 734 km (456 mi).

For the trip back, we were only two and the same driving conditions and I saw 5.8 l/100 km (40.56 mpg) and a distance to E of 811 km (503 mi) (I have a movie showing it, but was unable to upload it for now). WOW, it is a great little car.

P.S. Here is the video. I want to say I reset everything after the fill up (as usual) and the info you see in the video is what the car registered after the reset - 811 (357 + 454) km for this fill up.
YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

I did not fill up yet, so I was not able to hand calculate the last mpg. The above (39.3 mpg) was hand calculated.

This is my first long trip I had with my car since owning it (almost 10 month). For those who don't know, the trip from Montreal to Toronto is going through some hilly areas so I am very pleased with the way the car performed !

Thank you !
I left home at 7:00 a.m., I was in Toronto at 2:00 p.m. (some stops and some shopping in Kingstone) and then left Toronto at 5:30 p.m. and arrived in Montreal at 11:45 p.m. Quite a ride, indeed !

P.S. A lot of police ("speed traps") on the way home (I counted 7 on the whole 575 km To-Mtl trip). So the 65 mph was just right for this trip.

Just did a quick turn and burn from Denver to Crescent Junction,UT which was 660 miles and got 33mpg (hand calculated) and my speeds ranged from 65-85mph and while I had to downshift a few more times than I would've liked going back up the Continental divide to maintain 65-70 I was still pretty happy with the MPG return considering it was a bit of a speedy drive at times and down in town we haven't gotten over 27mpg indicated (actually was closer to 29mpg) so it was nice to see 360+ to empty on my screen.

Full tank at 39.3mpg (calculated by hand) with about 80% highway driving. 42.4mpg 100% highway driving @ 68mph. 8k miles. Not quite the 51 mpg of my old 04 TDI, but still very impressive.

Hello Voldar. Those are great numbers!! I'll be taking the road myself, but going the other way towards Tadoussac. I am eager the see my numbers. I have one question tho, what is this road indicator you have on the right hand side of your central display? it It's showing highway 20 (is it because you have the NAV option?) . How do you get that? Also, the distance to ''E'' numbers you show on the picture, is it from your starting position or did that numbers improved as you went on the highway?

The info showing highway 20 is from the trip back from Toronto to Montreal. I had Navigation set to "My home" as destination and it shows the distance to where the highway 401 in Ontario changes to highway 20 in Quebec. Because I was on the highway and that was the only "info" worthy to be mentionned, it appeared on the screen. The "distance to E" photo was taken right after the fill up on the way home.

I did two fill ups in this round trip: one in Ontario, at the first OnRoute stop on the 401 comming from Montreal then the second one on the way home at the first OnRoute from Toronto (on the same 401). The picture you see is the one I've taken after the second fill up, on the way home. The video I posted is with the numbers I got when I was back at home, in Motreal. You can see in the movie that the Trip Odometer was 454 km, the distance from the second fill up to "My home". This gives you the info that "My home" is somewhere at 52 km from the Ontario-Quebec border
