Question on the Focus RS

Did the Focus RS come stock as RWD? And if it did, what engine did it come stock with? I was wondering cuz if it came with a 2.0 DOHC engine, RWD, wouldn't we be able to use the parts (making the Focus RS RWD) on our american foci so we can have RWD too? I'm curious cuz I'd really like to have a RWD focus without the V8 engine. And I don't wanna have to get parts from different cars and customize them to fit. I heard someone say to get parts from an old thunderbird or something like that. I wanna be able to buy parts that already belong on the Focus.

Or am I all wrong with the Focus RS? I'm not sure, so can someone clear this up for me? Thanks.

No, the RS is FWD.

You might be able to hack together a setup using some parts from the Krugel V8 conversion kit, a T5 transmission, and modify your I-4 to run in a N-S configuration.

if this is something you wanted to do, by the time you would drop all the money into RWD and the custom fab work that would have to be done to use the stock 4 banger, you could have had a much cooler v8 conversion
