I know we had a member on here that raced a SS/TC with a boosted SVT and beat him by a length, but a stock SES, not happening.

You guys w/ the 08+ saying you beat an SS.... wtf have you done to your car? My car stock auto vs my gf non-ss cobalt auto lost every time.... now I would probably wlak away from that car w/ no probs but really? how are you guys claiming to have beaten SS' when mine couldnt even beat a non-ss.... Are you guys boosted? Spraying?

Well if u know I said na cobalt ss they have the 2.4 not to shiny i race one and was 4 door I'm a sedan to but idk if he was modded I have i/h/e tune and my cars a manual and sorry but autotragic focuses r slow

no, it would be a drivers race. the standard ss package is just for looks, it has 140hp the same as the focus.

Nope. The n/a cobalt ss has 171hp. For future referance check your facts before you tell someone they are wrong.

yes cobalt ss N/A is a 2.4L with 171hp quite quick..
05-08 ss supercharged 205 hp ( I own one of these along with my boosted zx3)
08+ is turbo ss with 260 hp Also comes stock with no lift shift and launch control.

Stock focus Including the svt should lose to a supercharged cobalt everytime.

ps. Most supercharged cobaltsare gm stage 2 now days. 550 dollars makes your 205hp cobalt 240hp

Nope is a 2.4 170 hp a stock ses can't beat the ss na but if is modded yeah that's possible

Yea, no way an SES beats the S/C Cobalt. It might hang with the N/A version. I have beat 2 of the S/C ones rather easily but have yet to run a turbo, that would be fun.

I only beet the ss off the line, but i destroy the regular one. All i have added is the steeda air intake. I also have a 5 speed and that gives me 5-10 hp on the automatic. and all of this really depends on the driver, not always the car.
