Tip in enrichment?
Where is it?
When I tap the throttle it goes too rich (MTF is fine). Rich enough that it want's to stall out from the over fueling. It was doing this before but now that I have the 42# injectors in it's MUCH worse, lol. |

Have you signed up on the sctflash.com forums yet? if not do so, and ask Admin for access to the PRP forum. There are a ton of threads on it.
To point you in the right direction, first you need to dial in the load with failed maf table (the PCM uses this table to "predict" load in situations where the maf doesnt work well, like transients, and also when the maf is faulted), then if it is still bad you can adjust the manifold volume scalar. I had the same problem with the ford racing 42's on Joe's car (ported powerworks SVT) on my base tune and I fixed it almost entirely when I dialed in the LWFM. Got a little better when I upped manifold volume to I think 7 or 8.

My version of the PRP doesnt have anything for the tip in fueling, I always just adjust the MAF transfer tables.
I also checked the Diablo software and theres nothing in it specific about tip in fueling, just ti in spark. Maybe you have one of your injector settings off.

There is no need to mess with the failed MAF tables , its VERY rare to have to change them get things set right no need to change them
You can correct all your issues with the MTF , you must get them right first , people make this tuning far harder then it has to be , dont change your tip in enrichment or manifold volume , I have ultra rarely had to change these to get a stock or better running Focus Tom

Tom I think you and I just have a different definition of stock or better running
I'm very picky with my tunes, often to a fault.

I dont thin so , stock runs very good and to get a tune on a car with a lot of mods to run as good or better then stock is saying a lot in my opinion I doubt anyone could tell a diff between yours and my tuning if there both the way we say they are
As long as the customer is happy I think we just go about tuning them diff and thats fine , I like taking the easier rought and have learned over time what works so I dont have to change a lot of things , In the end if they both work who cares how we got there Tom

Yep totally, a lot of the things you do are great because you don't have to spend a lot of time on every customer. Where it took me about a year and a half to get my tune where I wanted it. But it was running fine after about a week or so.

I'm picky with my tune as well, bit I also like to experiment with different settings..... And I'm never satisfied no matter how good it may be....lol

I agree I have been tuning the Focus for 11 years now and I am always trying things and playing with new things that finaly work in the soft ware and new things added that doesnt mean I am going to give advise to others about changing things just because there in the software when they dont actually need changing to fix the problem
