2012+ Focus Aftermarket?

Think all the aftermarket products that exist for the Focus now, will be as extensive for the new model?

The hope I see now is since there's a full Rally trim and full Touring trim focus. This should be a good sign.

Or does anyone seen news on websites about this? Will there be a turbo? Will they start making HID headlights since the ST will come with them but buying OEM is $$$. Race seats? CAI/WAI? Spark wires? Headers? Exhaust?...

Defiantly going to be a good aftermarket when it comes out. I think FSwerks already did some things with one. Probably the best aftermarket since the first Gen, maybe better. especially with the ST coming out, should be upgrades like crazy for that. people will be pushing a lot of power through those cars. Hopefully the base engine in the standard models will mod well also.

Even more reason to get one. If you start getting bored with it, upgrade!

Yeah, there's going to be a huge aftermarket for these cars, primarily driven by the ST I'm sure. There probably won't be much in the way of performance for us non-ST Focus drivers, but anything else (i.e. brakes, even more suspension) will probably be available to us. I'm thinking that there will be a ton of aftermarket appearance modifications you could make. This too, probably mainly driven by the ST market, although the European market may drive this as well. Personally, my first modification is going to be to replace the headlights with the Eurospec ones (gets rid of the yellow indicator lenses). The only other thing I'll probably do is tint the windows, and maybe throw on some matte black rims.

My challenge is to make this car just the way I like it, without taking too much money away from my other hobby:

Noice car.

It'll be next fall before I offically buy one, but it'll be leased by my grandparents till then. Either way I'll be mild (Same, tint, headlights (anything HID)) to keep a Warranty on it. I'll probably never turbo and suspension is a tough sell with roads as bad as ours, hills, and winter driving.

I am modding a few things, but I want to keep it clean and simple. I would like to add just a wee bit more power. Stock is 160, I want to hit 180, give or take. Sounds like a good number. I just want a fighting chance against my roommates nicely equipped A4 :) Him and I bought new cars within the same hour on the same day, without knowing each other where shopping!!! Funny Story...

Anyway, I want to throw on an intake and exhaust, as these are subtle changes. If anybody can think of any other small performance modifications, I would love to hear them. Modding is not my thing, although I am above average mechanically.

What else can a person do to gain a few horses, withouth breaking the bank, or messing with your car too much?

Try looking/asking around in the Duratec Performance Chat for engine related modifications.

I am surprised that their is nothing at the Ford Racing website yet. I guess we will have to keep checking.
