A great first mod. Sounds cool, looks cool, adds a little HP.

Short ram is less expensive. Cold air makes a tad more power. Long style intakes are a no-no up here in the midwest were inclement weather/snow might be sucked up in them due to their "close to the earth" design, but I'd say you'd be good out in AZ.

Unfortunately, AEM would have been my recommendation, but they have discontinued them to my knowledge. They are still on their site, but are not available.

I do have a MAC short ram on the shelf for $119.

SRI works great

I have a 2002 ZTW. Last month I installed an AEM SRI was floored. It sounds outstanding and the throttle increase is noticable! I had low idle issues from the start (would stall at lights unless I feathered the gas). I removed the EGR hose from the Intake Tube and directed it to the far left of the engine. I then capped the Intake tube opening. Problem solved - idles excellent now.

The Airaid/Roush looks to be the nicest in my opinion for the 2008 and up.
