My dealer ETA is 5/18. Any idea when I should apply for financing at my credit union? About a week out?

I did. I applied at a few banks on Monday. Got 3.28%. Going to take that to the dealer and see if they can beat it. They usually have quite a bit of power to get good rates.

Did you go local, or did you use national banks? Google searches show that institutions like Capital One and Bank of America are offering as low as 2.99% for 60 months. My local bank can't touch that.

I talked with my salesman this week and they deal with Bank of America and Mid Florida Bank. They both have 2.99% for 60 months.

I applied at BofA and got right at the 3.3%. I hope if I take it to Ford they can beat it because if so we get the $500 financing credit, correct?

Through Navy Federal Credit Union I was able to get 1.99% for 60 months!! Nobody at these dealerships believe me though. Evidently I had way better credit than I thought I did.
