I'm just guessing but I'm thinking mine may come in sometime in April. Would be nice to get it earlier but then again, right now I don't have any car payments to make.

I know a guy who works at Ford and has one on order. With ford doing 'batch and hold' now and releasing to employees first, I'm going to estimate I'll get MINE about a month after my buddy gets his. 'Bird, seeing you're on the inside, do you get yours as part of the batch and hold, or would you get yours as part of the general release?

RedsGt, From the info you gave it looks like 5 to 6 weeks between getting your Vin till build date. That sounds good and about right. Will wait and see how this holds true for others.

Longtime lurker, but I finally have something worthwhile to contribute.
It appears there is no rhyme or reason to order date to vin date to build date. I hope I don't disappoint RedsGT, but I ordered January 24th and my build date is 3/12. For those wondering about their vin numbers, here's how I figured out mine totally by chance: Go to the website of your area Ford dealers (like Southern California Ford dealers/Northeast Ohio Ford dealers, etc). Make sure the website looks like this http://www.driveoneohio.com/. Select search inventory and then click on any car. Select the dealer you ordered from on the bottom right scroll. On the next screen you'll then be able to select the 2012 Focus from the top left scroll list. I was able to locate the exact car I ordered and get my window sticker/vin number. |

No clue how you figured that out, but nice find. My car isn't listed yet, but I do see 5 Focus's for my dealer. Now it is time to stalk... like I don't have enough to do!

I just noticed that my dealership's website is showing about 8 2012's on inventory. Mine has to be getting close, ordered mine on January 10th.

Just checked my dealer and they now have 3 in stock. One is Blue Candy, color I ordered. I'll take a drive up there tomorrow. They didn't have any this past Tus.
