^^I don't know how to read that liters per 100 kilometers crap, so mines on MPG and the outside temp is set to F and not C. It's all in the center info display.

WTH? Dude you're paying for the gas by the litre, so L needed for you to drive 100km makes more sense for us than using MPG (but I admit that MP(US)G is better for comparing with our US brethren). 5.5L/100km or lower is great, 8L/100km or higher bad in my books for HWY driving.

Up until about 4 years ago, everything even up here in metric-weird Canada was MPG when referring to fuel economy, so that's what I know. There's 3.78 liters per us gallon. It's an easier conversion then the other way. If you can't tell, I hate metric with a passion.

What I really hate though is what we're paying. $4.70 / gallon just isn't right when most states pay more then a dollar / gallon less then us.

Hmmm I don't think so, because I distinctly remember checking the ratings on my 2000 GTI when I bought it new and they were L/100km (and I also remember how hard it was to achieve those ratings with such a fun turbo at hand :) ). What I do remember is dealerships using nonsense MP(IMPERIAL)G ratings to inflate numbers and confuse folks that know about publicized MP(US)G ratings.

And yes, the price we pay for fuel up here is incredible even with the taxes stripped off the price.

I glad that you got your car ----- but I sure don't understand how the delivery works. I ordered mine on 7/11; built on 9/8 and still haven't received it.

Soon I hope!

My sales guy called this morning. My car has been built and it is just waiting for a truck. It should arrive at the dealership around the 10th of Oct. I'M SO EXCITED I CAN'T CONTAIN MYSELF!
